BEST OF BOSNIA AND TURKEY (12D/11N)

Istanbul tour (Topkapi Palace museum, Dolmabahçe palace, Üsküdar, Camlica hill)

After the breakfast we will start our day visiting the Topkapi Palace museum. Topkapi Palace, was the administrative, educational and art center of the Empire for nearly four hundred years since Mehmed the Conqueror until Sultan Abdulmecid who is the thirty-first Sultan. Although Palace was abandoned by the Ottoman Dynasty by moving to the Dolmabahçe Palace at middle 19th century, Topkapı Palace has protected its importance every time.

After Topkapi we will visit one of the most glamorous palace in the world Dolmabahçe, located on the European coast of the Bosphorus, served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire from 1856. -1887. and 1909. – 1922.

Our next destination is Üsküdar and the Maiden’s tower (Kız Kulesi) on tiny island.

We will finish the perfect day on Camlica hill one of the highest hills of the city, located on the Asian side. Camlica attracts many local and foreign visitors who love to enjoy in the magnificent panorama of the Bosphorus and the city.

Flight to Kayseri/Nevsehir, Full Day North Cappadocia Tour

Early in the morning we are going to the airport, traveling from Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevsehir.

Upon arrival at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport we are going to Cappadocia.

We start our full day tour of North Cappadocia with a visit of the Devrent Valley.

Devrent Valley is also known as Imagination Valley or Pink Valley because of its color. The valley does not have cave churches like the other valleys of Cappadocia, but it has incredible lunar landscape with very different fairy chimneys.

Next destination t we will visit is the Pasabag Monk’s Valley which contains some of the most striking fairy chimneys in Cappadocia with twin and even triple rock caps. This style is unique even for Cappadocia and these fairy chimneys are named mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys.

After this visit, we will drive to the small town of Avanos situated on the banks of the longest river in Turkey Kizilirmak (Red) River, famous for its distinctive red earthenware pottery, which has shaped its reputation since the days of the Hittities in the Bronze Age. We will explore the lovely old town which overlooks the red silt of the river which has been both the lifeblood and the destiny of Avanos. Small pottery workshops still cluster in the narrow streets of the old town and here you can learn how to throw a pot and buy the local ceramics.

The lunch break is planned in Avanos.

After lunch we will visit the beautiful open air museum of Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years.

We will end the tour with the visit of the natural castles of Uchisar.

Full Day South Cappadocia Tour, Overnight Bus transportation to Pamukkale

After the breakfast we start our full day tour of South Cappadocia.

Our adventure starts with a visit of the Red Valley where you will be able to explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike approximately 5 km through the Güllüdere (Rose) Valley.

Next we will visit the Çavusin village which is famous for its houses and churches of the Christian Clergymen. We will make a break for lunch around noon.

The adventure continues visiting the Cappadocia’s Breathtaking Pigeon Valley, named for the many pigeon houses or dovecotes carved into the rocks and cliffs. Years ago the pigeons were used as message carriers, and their droppings were used as fertilizer and maybe even for use in making explosives. Today, very few, if any, pigeons are kept in the valley, although many locals keep them as pets in their own columbariums.

We will end our tour with the visit of the Kaymakli underground city. Built under a hill known as the Citadel of Kaymaklı, the city consists of 8 underground levels made up of low, narrow, sloping passageways. The city is arranged around the ventilation shafts which bring in air.

After the Cappadocia tour we will travel overnight to Pamukkale in a non-smoking, fully air-conditioned bus, departing the bus station approximately at 9:00 pm. The total duration of travel will be 10 hours. There will be three breaks on the way to Pamukkale for your personal needs.

Otionally: We can add a Hot Air Balloon Ride over picturesque Cappadocia to your tour (extra charge). With an early morning pick up around 5:00 am from your hotel you can join an early morning Hot Air Balloon ride for approximately 60 minutes. Full Day Pamukkale Tour, Flight to Istanbul

Upon your arrival at the Pamukkale / Denizli main bus station between 05:30 – 06:00, you will be picked up and transferred to the hotel to freshen up.

After the breakfast and a short rest, we will start the tour of the Pamukkale and Hierapolis area.

Our first destination will be Karahayit to see the Red Spring Waters.

After Karahayit we will drive to Pamukkale and begin the visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, ancient city of Hierapolis around.

We will discover the highlights of Hierapolis such us: Necropolis, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinious Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater and Antique Pool. You will also be able to take some photos from the nicest corners of Pamukkale.

At noon you will have some free time (for approximately 60 minutes) to explore the natural beauties of Pamukkale. As an option, you may choose to swim in the Cleopatra’s Antique Pools (at own expense) during this free time.

After the free time, adventure continues with a walk in the middle of the Pamukkale travertines.

We will enjoy going down through thermal pools of this magical “cotton castle”.

After the “cotton castle”, we will have a lunch at a local restaurant.

After the lunch we will visit an Onyx Factory and souvenir shop. Onyx is a volcanic stone which has various colors and contains different minerals in. As being a volcanic area, Cappadocia has some onyx deposits. In the factory, a master will give us information about the steps of onyx shaping and we will watch a shaping show.

At the end of the tour we are going to the Denizli airport for an evening flight back to Istanbul.

Upon arrival we will be transferred from the Airport to the Hotel.

Istanbul, Sarajevo

Transportation from Airport to the hotel. Check-in and short rest.

Afternoon will be reserved for Panoramic sightseeing of Sarajevo and exciting guided walking tour through the Old Town of Sarajevo. You will enjoy in a delightful mixture of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and modern heritage.

After the walking tour, it is time for late lunch or dinner. When in Bosnia, do as Bosnians do-certainly you should eat the Bosnian traditional cuisine (cevapcici, burek, dolmas…) and drink Bosnian coffee and try traditional sweets (hurmasica, tufahija, baklava…).

Free time and overnight in Sarajevo.

Old Town Travnik, Pliva Lakes, Bihac

After the breakfast we are going to small, historical city Travnik. It was residence of early Ottoman rulers whose influence on the city’s culture and heritage is still evident today.

On our way to Bihac, we will make an excursion to the Pliva lakes. A special attraction is a complex of mills that were constructed between the Great and Small Pliva Lake popularly called Mlincici.

After excursion to the Pliva lakes, we are going to Bihac. Bihac is a charming little town centered on the banks of the Una River. The city is an explosion of colors and serene natural beauty.

Free time and overnight in Bihac.

Una National park (Martin brod and Strbacki buk waterfalls) and ethno village Natura art (on river Una).

After the breakfast, we are starting our adventure at Strbacki buk waterfalls and complex of the Una River waterfalls at Martin Brod. Once you see this beauty, you will forever remember and keep precious unforgettable memories.

After waterfalls, we are going to Natura Art ethno village. It is a must visit place, where you will enjoy in beautiful nature and beautiful river. Lunch break at the village.

Return in the hotel in late afternoon. Free time in Bihac.

Jajce Old Town and Pliva waterfall, ethno village Semesnica, Sarajevo

After enjoying the fairy Bihac, we continue our trip to Jajce, home od Bosnian Kings. Jajce is famous for the impressive real natural monument-22 meter hight Pliva Waterfall. It is one of the twelve most beautiful waterfalls in the world.

Adventure continues to ethno village Semesnica- an oasis of peace, beauty and excellent local gastronomy. You will have lunch and enjoy in traditional food with local flat bread from the traditional mill.

Return back to Sarajevo in the evening. Free time and overnight in Sarajevo.

Beautiful Herzegovina

After the breakfast in the hotel, we are going to Herzegovina – part of our country full of great natural wonders, beautiful rivers and cities with mixed cultures. Our first stop will be in Mostar. You will enjoy in magnificent architecture and stunningly beautiful river, Old Bridge and its surroundings.

After Mostar, we continue our trip to Kravice Waterfall. In one word you will be amazed by unticible nature and amazing waterfalls.

Next stop is in Pocitelj- beautiful medieval stone town located below the high cliffs above Neretva river, dominated by the medieval defense fortresses.

After Pocitelj we are going to Blagaj and Buna river springs. Here you will enjoy in the peace of Dervish House and the beautiful waters of river Buna. You will have lunch and experience the unique and unforgettable scenes that evoke the beauty and grandeur of this beautiful place.

Return back to Sarajevo in the evening. Free time and overnight in Sarajevo.

Nature park „Vrelo Bosne“ and Olympic mountains Igman and Bjelasnica, shopping

After the breakfast in the hotel, we are going to visit nature park „Vrelo Bosne“. This is one of the country’s popular natural landmarks, featuring spring of the River Bosna, and provides a quiet escape and relaxation from city crowd.

After the visit of nature park „Vrelo Bosne“ we are going to Olympic mountains Igman and Bjelasnica. You will be able to enjoy in the nature, fresh air and walk through woods. For you more active and feeling adventurous we suggest you to try mountain biking, enjoy in quad safari or paragliding.

Optionally we will visit village Lukomir. Lukomir is the highest altitude and most remote village in the entire country.

The end of the day will be reserved for the shopping in the best malls.
