After breakfast in the hotel, we start our day with a visit to the Belgrade Fortress Kalemegdan. Belgrade Fortress is known for its kilometers-long tunnels, underground corridors, and catacombs, which are still largely unexplored. In the true sense, the fortress is today the green oasis in Belgrade’s urban area.
We will discover Donji Grad (or “Lower Town”); which occupies the slope towards the riversides, from the top spot (ridge where “The Victor” is). Between the lowest section and the Danube is Kula Nebojsa (“Impregnable, Fearless, or Daredevil Tower”), which has been turned into a museum of the Greek revolutionary Rigas Feraios, who was strangled by the Turks in this tower, and his corpse thrown into the Danube. The Orthodox churches of Ruzica (former Austrian gun depot) and Sveta Petka are also located in this area, as is the Belgrade Planetarium.
Gornji Grad (or “Upper Town”); the upper section of the fortress, turned into a park, with beautiful promenades and the statue of “The Victor” (Serbian Pobednik), the so-called “Roman well”, actually built by the Austrians, the Popular Observatory, the türbe (tomb) of Damad Ali Pasha.
Veliki Kalemegdanski Park (or “Large Kalemegdan Park”); occupies the southern corner of the fortress, with geometrical promenades, the Military Museum, the Museum of Forestry and Hunting, and the Monument of Gratitude to France.
Next, we will visit the Belgrade ZOO near the Fortress.
At the end of today’s tour, we will visit the best viewpoint in Belgrade – the Avala Tower.

The cave is 1690 meters long, which ranks it among the twenty largest caves in Serbia. The cave is of a branched type and consists of five speleo morphological units, namely: light halls, dark halls, halls with bathtubs, a canal with bathtubs, and a river canal.
The biggest attraction and trademark of the Stopic cave are bigrene tubs. Bigren tubs are depressions bordered by winding, bigrene folds, similar to tubs, formed by the indentation of limestone. There are over a hundred of them, they are of different dimensions, and they work most impressively during the early spring when they are filled with water, which is a sight to remember.

It consists of over 50 old Zlatibor log cabins, showing how the house and garden of the Zlatibor village looked more than two centuries ago. This unique museum is the heir of the past, created to tear the architecture and way of life of the Zlatibor peasant from oblivion.

The waterfall was created on the river Vrelo, it is 20 meters high, which makes it one of the ten largest waterfalls in all of Serbia. Downstream this Waterfall, there are several smaller waterfalls and cascades that also attract a lot of attention and win the hearts of the visitors of Gostilj.
